Not many blog posts this last few weeks – we’ve been too busy in cinema2 practicing songs and lines and cues. Rehearsals are really stepping up now. The show is looking and sounding better and better each time we run it through. The performers are giving their all and each individual is bringing their own unique style and particular voices to the piece. Vi has a prominent role in the storytelling – watch out for the pram – and she sings! Jean’s singing and dancing talents also show that this isn’t the only performance she’s been involved in – the experience shows. Alec is beginning to sing out really well and has worked very hard on his story. He’s the technical man and will bring his special equipment on the night. Paul is taking several roles through the piece and has a fab solo blues number he’s co-written with Jonathan. Grace delivers an inspiring story and again she is now revealing a rather beautiful singing voice in a number that has recently been added to the show. Dolly has been our poet from day one, as well as coordinating rehearsals back at Pine Lodge with the others.
Meanwhile Caroline and emily have tracked down a load of props and set and Bob is searching the internet for all the imagry that he will bring to life on the night.
